OLEAN, N.Y.- The Binghamton women's tennis team won, 6-1, at St. Bonaventure Friday afternoon.

Agatha Ambrozy,
Olga Ostrovetsky,
Shea Brodsky, and
Paulina Tafler all won for the Bearcats in the non-conference match at the St. Bonaventure Tennis Center.

BU collected the doubles point and then won five of the six singles matches to cruise to victory. In doubles action,
Annie DiMuro and Kohtz teamed up for a 6-0 win at #3 and then Brodsky and Tashiro combined for a 6-4 win in the top bout. Ambrozy and Ostrovetsky also won, 7-5, at #2 doubles.

Ambrozy got the Bearcats started in singles play, claiming a 6-4, 6-2 win over Mariam Skhirtladze in their #3 match. Kohtz handled Mara Martinez-Santori, 6-0 and 6-2 in the #1 contest. At #4, Ostrovetsky took down Dominique Mortier, 6-2, 3-6, and 6-1, clinching the match for Binghamton. Ostrovetsky has now won six straight singles contests.

After the Bonnies won the #2 match, Brodsky finished off Francesca Chin by scores of 6-2 and 6-2 in their #5 bout. At #6, Tafler defeated Lauren Doversola, 6-1, 6-7 (2-7), and 10-8 in a tight match.

BU improved to 4-3 this season. It plays at Niagara and Buffalo next weekend.
