EASTON, Pa.—The Binghamton women's lacrosse team (1-2) lost to the Lafayette Leopards (2-1) today 15-7.
Rebecca Golderman started the scoring for both teams, when her free position shot gave Binghamton a 1-0 lead. It was the first goal collegiate goal for the freshman. Lafayette answered with a pair of goals, but at 22:41 the Bearcats answered back.
Callon Williams carried the ball up the middle, drew a defender, and hit a wide-open
Olivia Batista, who sent it home for the second goal of the game. After a Lafayette goal, Williams drew a free position shot and scored to make it 3-3. Williams would then add her second goal of the game, via free position shot, to give the Bearcats the lead. Lafayette would string together three goals, but the Bearcats battled back to score two of three to close out the half.

Jacqueline Kennedy scoring her first division one goal. The sophomore transfer took the ball from Binghamton's goal line and went coast to coast—eluding a number of Lafayette defenders—to score BU's fifth goal. Next
Valerie DeNapoli cut through traffic to send home the Bearcats' final goal of the half.
Golderman was the only Bearcats to score in the second half. Netting a goal with 25:57 left in regulation. Lafayette closed the game with a six goal run.
Emma Jehle saw her first action of the season, making two saves in a relief effort.
The Bearcats return to action on Saturday, February 27 for a 1 p.m. game against Quinnipiac at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
