PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Host Penn (3-7) hit a three-run home run in the third inning and limited Binghamton to six hits en route to a 6-2 win over the Bearcats (2-13) Friday afternoon at Meiklejohn Stadium.
Binghamton took an early 1-0 lead with a run in the first inning before the Quakers seized command via the long ball in the bottom of the third. Penn then added single runs in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings before the Bearcats closed the scoring with a run in the ninth.
