STORY LINES

- Binghamton (14-9) swept a doubleheader at Central Connecticut State on Tuesday, winning 15-8 and 10-7. Senior designated hitter Griffin McIver hit two home runs against the Blue Devils and drove in six runs. Sophomore third baseman Kate Richard hit a team-best .750 (6-for-8), homered and drove in five runs.

- Niagara (2-14) has been off since last Friday, when it was swept 10-9 and 5-4 at Cleveland State. Sarah March and Bridget Hogan are tied for the team lead with a .340 batting average. Sierra Bertrand is averaging 7.9 strikeouts per nine innings.
 
- The Bearcats enter the doubleheader against Niagara with a season-best, six-game winning streak. It is their longest unbeaten streak since winning eight straight games from April 4-17, 2013. 

- Sophomore outfielder Jessica Rutherford leads the America East with a .457 batting average and has a career-high, 10-game hitting streak. Senior catcher Taylor Chaffee is hitting .400 while junior outfielder Gabby Bracchi is batting .378 and leads the conference with 13 stolen bases. 

- Senior designated player Griffin McIver leads Binghamton with five home runs so far this season. She has four home runs in the Bearcats' past six games. 

- Senior outfielder Sydney Harbaugh, who is the current America East Player of the Week, now has 172 career hits and is sole possession of second place all time in Binghamton program history. She is closing in on all-time leader Jessica Phillips (2010-13), who finished her career with a program-best 180 hits.
