STORY LINES

- Binghamton and UMBC were scheduled to play three America East games this weekend at the Bearcats Sports Complex Softball Facility. Due to the impending weather, the series has been switched to UMBC. In accordance with America East policies, Binghamton will still be the home team in each game and will bat second.

- Binghamton (16-9, 3-0 AE) swept Niagara 13-0 and 15-1 in its home opener on Thursday afternoon. Sophomore pitcher Sarah Miller fired the Bearcats' first no-hitter since 2009 in the opener. Sophomore third baseman and sophomore outfielder Jessica Rutherford each belted a pair of home runs during the doubleheader. Richard finished the afternoon a perfect 5-for-5 while Rutherford clubbed both of her homers in the first inning of the second game.

- The Bearcats are on a current eight-game winning streak, its longest such streak since winning nine in a row from April 21-May 4, 2013.

- Sophomore outfielder Jessica Rutherford leads the America East with a .465 batting average and 26 RBI. Senior designated player Griffin McIver has a team-best six home runs, having homered in five of the past seven games. As a team, the Bearcats lead the America East with a .344 batting average.

- UMBC (16-17, 1-2 AE) gained a split against Brown on Wednesday in its most recent action. The Retrievers won the opener 5-3 but were defeated in the nightcap 5-1. Morgan Peyou is batting a team-best .419 while Carly Lesko leads the conference with 10 home runs.

- Binghamton leads the all-time series against UMBC 22-20, having swept the past four conference series. At last year's weekend series, which was held April 25-26 at UMBC, the Bearcats won 8-5, 5-2 and 4-0.

- Senior outfielder Sydney Harbaugh, the current America East Player of the Week, enters the series against UMBC with 175 career hits. She needs five more hits to tie Jessica Phillips (2010-13) for the most hits in Binghamton program history (180).
