VESTAL, N.Y.—The Binghamton women's lacrosse team (4-11, 0-4 America East) was defeated by No. 6 Stony Brook (12-3, 5-0 America East) by a score of 16-0 today.
Stony Brook scored eight goals in each half, led by Courtney Murphy (eight goals). The junior leads the nation with 73 on the season. Anna Tesoriero made six saves in net to record her first career shutout.
Binghamton was 7-10 on clears, and recorded eight draw controls to Stony Brook's ten.
Rebecca Golderman had two ground balls and three draw controls,
Valerie DeNapoli had two ground balls and two caused turnovers, and
Jacqueline Kennedy had four draw controls.
Erin McNulty made four saves in net.
Binghamton returns to action on Sunday, April 24 as the team travels to UMass Lowell for an 11 a.m. game.
