- Binghamton (30-13, 12-3 AE) took two out of three games at Albany this past weekend to move into first place in the America East with one week left in the regular season. Sophomore outfielder
Jessica Rutherford, who ranks second in the conference with a .426 batting average, hit a team-best .545 (6-for-11) in the series against the Great Danes.

- Syracuse (27-24, 9-14 ACC) enters the game today with a RPI of No. 74. This past weekend, however, the Orange was swept in a three-game conference series at home against Boston College. Sammy Fernandez leads the squad with a .335 batting average while Corinne Ozanne has slugged 14 home runs and has 33 RBI.

- As a team, Binghamton ranks seventh in the nation with a .347 batting average. The Bearcats are also ninth with 7.33 runs per game and No. 14 with a .530 slugging percentage.

- Syracuse leads the all-time series 15-1. This marks the first time, however, that the two squads have played at the Bearcats Sports Complex since April 4, 2013. Syracuse won the opener of that meeting 14-10 but Binghamton bounced back with an 8-0, five-inning win in the nightcap.
