DEKALB, Ill. – Elliott Collier scored twice and added an assist, powering unbeaten Loyola Chicago (5-0-0) to a 4-0 win over Binghamton (3-1-2) in the final round of the Northern Illinois/adidas Invitational on Sunday afternoon. The Ramblers, who defeated No. 12 Utah Valley 2-0 in the opening round Friday night, capture the team title.
It was a three-goal outburst in a span of 1:25 in the first half that put Loyola-Chicago up 3-0 in the 39th minute. Collier had a goal and an assist during that span.
Play had been even up until that point. Each squad had only one shot in the opening 37 minutes.
Collier's final goal came in the 53rd minute.
"Loyola-Chicago is a very good, complete team," head coach
Paul Marco said. "I wouldn't be surprised if they are a top 10 team as some point this season. It was a great opportunity for our guys to play them."
Loyola-Chicago outshot the Bearcats 12-4 for the game. Redshirt freshman goalkeeper

The Bearcats finished the weekend 1-1-0, having defeated host Northern Illinois 1-0 on Friday night. Junior midfielder
Ben Ovetsky, who scored the goal against the Huskies, and sophomore midfielder
Conrad Nowowiejski were both named to the all-tournament team.
Binghamton returns home for a Wednesday match against Cornell at 7 p.m.
