STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Redshirts sophomore guard
Jasmine Sina scored a game-high 15 points and junior center
Alyssa James finished with 11 points and 13 rebounds, leading Binghamton (9-10, 4-2 AE) to a 48-40 win over Stony Brook (9-10, 2-4 AE) in an America East women's basketball game on Sunday afternoon at the Island FCU Arena. With the victory, the Bearcats take their third straight conference road game.

"It's tough to come on the road and get a win in this conference," head coach
Linda Cimino said. "Jasmine knocked down some big shots for us and we played very well defensively. We are happy to come in here and get the win."
Nursing a 14-10 lead with 1:47 left in the first half, the Bearcats called a time out. From there, Sina and freshman guard
Carly Boland hit back-to-back three pointers, giving Binghamton a 20-10 lead at the break.
Sina nailed two more three-point field goals during the third period as the Bearcats took a 35-20 lead. Freshman guard
Kai Moon added five points during that stretch while James scored four of her points.
Binghamton struggled offensively in the final period but Sina and James each hit a key shot. Sina drained her final three pointer with 7:11 left, giving the Bearcats a 41-26 left to go. James then made a three-point play with 2:05 remaining, stretching the advantage to 45-36.
Although Stony Brook held junior guard
Imani Watkins to just seven points, she still had nine rebounds and five assists. Moon finished with nine points.
Binghamton heads to Hartford on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. game.
