Volleyball Plays at Lowell Friday Night

Bearcats and Riverhawks face off at 5 p.m. on ESPN3

LOWELL, MA. - The Binghamton volleyball team (7-14, 4-4 AE) heads to Costello Athletic Center on Friday night for an America East matchup with the UMass Lowell Riverhawks (5-16, 0-8 AE). The match is set for a 5 p.m. start and will be broadcast on ESPN 3.

Binghamton is coming off a much needed win over New Hampshire last night. The Bearcats defeated the Wildcats 3-1 in Durham to sweep the serie with UNH this season. Erin Shultz and Gaby Alicea combined for 35 kills to lead the Bearcats in the victory. Sarah Ngo added 45 assists and 17 digs in the match as well.

Umass Lowell fell to Albany last night, 3-0, at home. Katherine Claybaugh led the Riverhawks with eight kills while McKenna Bova notched 12 assists.

The first time the two teams met, Binghamton took the match 3-0 at the West Gym winning 26-24, 25-22 and 26-24.

The Bearcats return home next Friday to host UMBC in Vestal.
