Bearcats fall 7-0 at Big Ten member Rutgers

EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Host Rutgers won the doubles point and then swept the six singles matches to pin a 7-0 loss on the Bearcats in the spring opener for both teams Friday afternoon at East Brunswick Racquet Club.

Senior Paulina Tafler and freshman Maria Pandya paired for a 6-2 win at third doubles to push that opening team point to a final doubles match. But the Scarlet Knights took the deciding match at No. 2 and then won all six singles matches in straight sets.

The Bearcats return to Upstate New York to face Missouri Sunday afternoon at Cornell's Reis Tennis Center.
