Men’s Soccer Loses 3-0 at UMass Lowell

River Hawks break game open with two goals in 59 seconds

LOWELL, Mass. – Ivan Abrimovic and Dario Jovanovski each finished with a goal and an assist, powering UMass Lowell (7-4-2, 2-2-0 AE) to a 3-0 win over Binghamton (3-8-2, 2-2-0 AE) in an America East men's soccer game on Saturday afternoon at Cushing Field. The loss is the second straight conference setback for the Bearcats.

With just 3:08 gone in the first half, Abrimovic and Jovanovski assisted on Roko Prsa's fourth goal of the season. Binghamton held a 5-3 shot advantage over the first 45 minutes but could not find the back of the net.

In the 62nd minute, Abrimovic and Jovanovski scored 59 seconds apart to blow the match open. The Bearcats settled down after that spurt but were unable to trim the deficit the remainder of the game.
UMass Lowell finished with a 13-12 edge in shots, including a 6-2 margin in shots on goal.

Binghamton returns home for a non-conference match against Bucknell on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
