EASTON, Pa. – Natalie Kucowski finished with game highs of 14 points and 13 rebounds, powering Lafayette (2-0) to a 59-50 win over Binghamton (2-1) in a non-conference women's basketball game on Sunday afternoon at the Kirby Sports Center. The game marked the Bearcats' first road contest of the season.
The Bearcats started off strong, shooting 58 percent (7-of-12) during the first period to take a 16-10 advantage. Over the remainder of the game, however, they sputtered from the field, finishing the game 17-of-58 (29 percent).

Lizzy Spindler finished with a team-best 11 points, marking the second straight game she has reached double figures in scoring. She also had six rebounds and three steals.

Kai Moon added nine points. Junior guard
Karlee Krchnavi, who played high school basketball at nearby Palisades High School, grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
Lafayette took advantage of Binghamton's shooting problems and tied the game at 22-22 at the half.The Leopards then broke the game open with the first seven points of the third period and built their lead to as much as much as 45-34 with 28 seconds left to go.
In the fourth quarter, the Bearcats pulled to within 45-41 on a pair of free throws by Moon with 8:41 left in regulation. From there, however, Lafayette went on a 10-4 run to take a 55-45 lead with 1:41 remaining.
Olivia Martino added 12 points in the winning effort.

Annie Ramil came off the bench to score eight points. Senior forward
Rebecca Carmody, meanwhile, added seven rebounds.
Binghamton travels to Ohio University on Thursday for an 11 a.m. game.
