VESTAL, N.Y. – Junior guard
Kai Moon scored a game-high 20 points and four of her teammates also reached double figures in scoring as Binghamton (3-2) defeated Caldwell (0-1) 73-54 in a non-conference women's basketball game on Sunday afternoon at the Events Center. The victory marked the first of a four-game home stretch for the Bearcats.
Moon finished the game 7-for-13 from the field, including 4-for-7 from beyond the three-point arc. In the process, she reached the 20-point mark for the second time this season and fourth time in her career.
Senior forward
Rebecca Carmody scored 14 points to go along with seven rebounds, four assists and a pair of blocks. Junior guard
Carly Boland added 13 points, nine rebounds, two assists a block and a steal. Sophomore forward Oliva Ramil scored 10 points for the third time this season while fellow sophomore forward
Kaylee Wasco came off the bench and netted a career-high 11 points.
This marks the first time since Dec. 21, 2017 at Rider that five Bearcat players have reached double figures in scoring.

Bethann Shapiro Ord said. "We are continuing to get better and are working together and staying disciplined in everything we do."
Binghamton broke the game open in the second quarter, outscoring the Cougars 16-4 to take a 39-25 lead at the half. Moon had 18 of her points in the opening 20 minutes of play.
In the third quarter, Caldwell pulled to within 39-32 with 8:09 remaining. From there, however, Binghamton reeled off 13 straight points to go up 52-32 with 2:30 left to go. Wasco had six of her points during that span and Carmody added five points.
The Bearcats' largest lead of the game came with 7:29 left in regulation, when a three-point field goal by Boland stretched the lead to 67-38.
Alessia Saldone led Caldwell with 12 points while Andie Lennon and Tina Lebron each added 11 points.
As a team, Binghamton shot 46.3 percent from the field (28-61) and dished out a season-high 19 assists.
Binghamton hosts Lehigh on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
