Natchitoches, La. - Binghamton baseball (1-2) ripped 15 hits and broke open the game with a five-run eighth inning en route to a 10-3 win over Northwestern State (2-1) in the series finale Sunday afternoon at Brown-Stroud Field.Â

Anthony Meduri started the onslaught with a two-run single. Â
The offensive output was more than enough for senior left-hander
Nick Wegmann (W, 1-0), who scattered five hits and one run over 6.0 innings. Wegmann allowed a first-inning run before shutting down the host Demons over his final five innings. He induced three double-play ground balls to aid his cause, including inning-ending twin-killings in the second and third innings.Â
Senior center fielderÂ
CJ Krowiak went 4-for-6 with two doubles and two RBI. Krowiak hit a two-run single in the second inning to snap a 1-1 tie and give BU the lead for good.
Freshman first baseman
Shane Marshall went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI. He delivered an RBI single in the seventh and hit an RBI double in the eighth.
