Rozlyn Price hit two home runs – including a grand slam – and drove in six runs.
UMass Lowell (12-22, 6-2 AE) dropped a doubleheader to Boston on Tuesday by scored of 10-2 and 10-1. The River Hawks' last America East action was a split in a doubleheader against Maine back on April 11.
Rutherford ranks third in the America East with a .387 batting average. She is also third in runs scored and tied for second with a pair of triples. Senior third baseman
Kate Richard is second in the conference with six home runs and 23 RBI.
Courtney Cashman leads the River Hawks and is fourth in the conference with a .382 batting average. Casey Harding had four home runs and 17 RBI.
Binghamton leads the all-time series 7-4 but the River Hawks took two out of the three games last year in Vestal. Up at Lowell, the Bearcats swept three games in 2016 and won the 2014 series two games to one.
