Men's lacrosse hosts Stony Brook in regular season finale Friday

Bearcats and Seawolves to faceoff at 7 p.m.

VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton men's lacrosse team (4-10, 1-4 AE) will host Stony Brook (6-7, 4-1 AE) in the Bearcats' regular season finale on Friday evening. The America East matchup is set for a 7 p.m. start at the Bearcats Sports Complex.



Scouting the Bearcats
  • Binghamton fell to No. 2 Albany, 18-7, last Friday at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium
  • Joe Licata lead the Bearcas with three goals while Stephen Petrelli added two
  • Kevin Carbone made 17 saves and picked up three ground balls
  • Thomas McAndrew leads the Bearcats offensive charge with 24 points on 19 goals and five assists
  • McAndrew's 51 career goals moves him in to 10th place in Binghamton's program history
  • Captain Sal Fama leads the Bearcats' defense with 13 caused turnovers and 18 ground balls
  • Kevin Carbone took over in the net midway through the  season and has made 107 saves for a .532 save percentage

Scouting the Seawolves
  • Most recently, Stony Brook defeated UMass Lowell 12-11 to move to 4-1 in the America East
  • Mike McCannell netted three goals for the Seawolves while Chris Pickel and Tom Haun each added two
  • Haun leads the team offensively with 31 points o 19 goals and 12 assists
  • Pickel has netted 18 goals while Jack Walsh has assisted on 28 goals
  • Rees Ryland has caused 20 turnovers and picked up 37 ground balls
  • Michael Bollinger has appeared in 11 games making nine starts in the net
  • Bollinger has recorded 90 saves for a .464 save percentage

Series History
  • The contest will mark the 19th meeting between the two teams
  • Stony Brook holds a 12-6 advantage over Binghamton
  • In 2017, The Bearcats defeated the Seawolves 6-5 in overtime to qualify for the post season tournament
  • Joe Licata scored in overtime to secure the Bearcats' victory
