STORY LINES

- Binghamton (1-0) won 89-62 at Siena on Tuesday night. Senior guard Kai Moon, an America East preseason all-conference selection, poured in a career-high 29 points in the victory. Fellow senior guard Carly Boland added 16 points, seven rebounds and tied her career high with six assists. Junior forward Olivia Ramil, meanwhile, tied her career high with 14 points. The 89 points represents the Bearcats' highest total since they scored 90 against Cortland on Nov. 13, 2017.

- Lafayette (1-0) opened up its season with a 61-29 win over visiting Fairleigh Dickinson on Tuesday night. Naomi Ganpo led three players in doublefigures with 12 points. Natalie Kucowski, a preseason Patriot League all-conference selection, recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. In the Patriot League preseason poll, Lafayette was picked to finish ninth.

- The all-time series between Binghamton and Lafayette is tied at 1-1. Last year, the Leopards won 59-50 at home on Nov. 11. Current junior guard Lizzy Spindler led the Bearcats with 11 points while Olivia Ramil chipped in 10 points. Kucowski, meanwhile, turned in a 14-point, 13-rebound performance. The only other game in the series was a 74-49 Bearcat win on Nov. 24, 2001.

- Binghamton is seeking its second consecutive 2-0 start. Last year, the Bearcats beat Charleston and Cornell before their setback at Lafayette. During its 19-year NCAA Division I era, Binghamton has recorded a pair of 2-0 starts (2011-12 and 2018-19).
