Men’s Lacrosse Falls to Army 15-6

Licata records third hat trick, Konen extends scoring streak

VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton Men's Lacrosse team (0-5) fell at home against the 18th-ranked Army Black Knights (5-2), 15-6 Tuesday evening at the Bearcats Sports Complex. William Talbot-Shere posted his first multi-goal game of the season and Robert Martin made five saves in net for the Bearcats. Joe Licata recorded his third hat-trick of the season in today's contest.

  • Army got on the board first with a goal from Jeremy Angle at 8:53
  • The Black Knights scored the next four goals before William Talbot-Shere struck for the Bearcats
  • After Joe Licata's ninth goal of the season made it 6-2 Army, Miles Silva scored four of the next five to take the Black Knights into half leading 10-3
  • Silva then scored the only two goals of the third quarter, both assisted by Brendan Nichtern
  • Joe Licata scored twice in just over two minutes to complete his third hat trick of the season
  • Silva's ninth goal of the game made it 15-5 Army before Griffin Konen scored to extend his scoring streak to five games
