Bearcats blanked on road 7-0, return home to face Toledo on March 30

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Defending Mid-American Conference champion Western Michigan (12-7, 4-0 MAC) showed its strength with a 7-0 win over visiting Binghamton men's tennis (8-11, 0-4 MAC) Saturday afternoon at West Hills Athletic Club.

The league-leading Broncos captured the doubles point and then rattled off wins at all six singles slots.

"We had a window in the first sets when we were getting great traction and controlling play on 2-5 singles," head coach Nick Zieziula said. "We showed great fight, focus and heart to string together breaks and holds but we weren't tough enough to maintain that against a very strong team from Western."

Binghamton returns to the courts on March 30 when the Bearcats host Toledo.
