BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Binghamton women's lacrosse team fell to Canisius 10-9 Wednesday evening at the Demske Sports Complex. Senior Emily Yoo secured a hat-trick in the contest while Taylor Passuello made 10 saves between the pipes.

"Another really tough game for us today," head coach Stephanie Allen said. "We just struggled to string together two halves of play. Our lack of execution in the first half and shot selection put us in a hole that was hard to overcome. As for our team's fight - it was clear that we brought effort and grit today from start to finish. We just need to keep focused on the little things as we head into Saturday."

Highlights

Yoo scored her first goal of the game at 18:28 in the first half of play to counter a Golden Griffin goal, tying the score at one.
Canisius finished the first half with a 4-0 run, taking a 5-1 lead into the half.
The Bearcats scored the first three goals of the second half to pull within one, seeing goals from Olivia Batista, Rebecca Golderman and Yoo's second of the day.
Binghamton and Canisius went goal for goal the next four minutes, as Paige Volkmann scored back-to-back goals off assists from Golderman.
The Bearcats responded to three consecutive Golden Griffin goals with three of their own but came up just short, falling 10-9.
Golderman finished with five draw controls while Alyssa Sanchez recorded three. Danielle Lulley caused three turnovers in the contest.
