Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Vermont 23-3

Golderman scores twice, Batista adds a goal

Box Score VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton Women's Lacrosse team (2-15, 2-5 AE) lost to Vermont (8-7, 2-5 AE) 23-3 Saturday afternoon to conclude their season. Senior midfielder Rebecca Golderman added two goals to jump into the team lead with 24, while Olivia Batista contributed her 16th goal of the season.

"It was tough playing today without the game having a lot of meaning," head coach Stephanie Allen said. "We stepped out on the field flat today and lacked execution, and compounded a lot of mistakes across the field."

  • Vermont opened up a 7-0 lead with two goals apiece from sophomore Maris Large, seniors Elise Koehl and Jenna Janes and another by freshman Dani Paterno
  • Senior midfielder Olivia Batista got the Bearcats on the board from the free position at 17:24 of the first half, recording her 16th goal of the season
  • The Catamounts scored the next eight goals through Koehl, senior Jenny Caoili, freshman Taylor Mullen and sophomore MacKenzie Bolt
  • Senior midfielder Rebecca Golderman scored her team-leading 23rd goal of the season to respond for Binghamton and bring the teams into halftime with Vermont up 15-2
  • Maris Large opened the second half scoring with her third goal of the game
  • Rebecca Golderman scored from the free position to end a 6-0 Vermont run
  • Janes and Paterno rounded out the scoring for the Catamounts
