Men’s Lacrosse Falls to UMBC on the Road 13-6

Licata records fourth hat trick, Konen provides two assists

BALTIMORE, MD. - The Binghamton Men's Lacrosse team (0-9, 0-3 AE) fell 13-6 to UMBC (3-6, 1-2 AE) on Saturday afternoon at UMBC Stadium. Joe Licata scored his fourth hat trick of the season while Griffin Konen led the team with two assists.

"We struggled to get off to a good start today," head coach Kevin McKeown said. "I was proud of the way we responded and got into gear after going down in the first quarter. It is hard to win conference games on the road and even harder to make a comeback."

Highlights
  • UMBC opened the game on a 6-0 run before Joe Licata struck for the Bearcats
  • William Talbot-Shere and Jon Perotto scored the next two goals for Binghamton, each recording their seventh of the season
  • UMBC scored three of the next four goals, with two coming from Junior Attacker Ryan Frawley
  • Griffin Konen responded for Binghamton off an assist from Licata, who followed up the goal with one of his own minutes later to make the score 10-6 UMBC
  • Ryan Frawley completed his hat trick before UMBC scored two more to round out the scoring
