VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton University wrestling team returns to EIWA action Saturday evening with a matchup against American in Washington D.C. The Bearcats are coming off two close matches, and will look to build off a 20-18 victory over Harvard in last Saturday's nightcap.Â
Notes
- Redshirt sophomores No. 11 Zack Trampe (6-0) and Aidan Monteverdi (2-2) will both be back in the lineup against the Eagles, with Monteverdi wrestling up and making his debut at 174 pounds. Freshman Jacob Nolan will continue to wrestle at 165 pounds this weekend.
- The lineup continues to get stronger, as No. 5 Lou DePrez and Anthony Sparacio returned following brief injuries last weekend as well. The duo combined to go 4-0 against Brown and Harvard, contributing 16 team points overall.
- Freshman 197-pounder Sam DePrez notched his first career dual win in a pivotal matchup against Harvard's Evan Callahan last weekend.
- 149-pounder Matt Swanson has been strong of late, and added a come from behind win over the Crimson's Aaron Kruk to help fuel the Bearcats to victory last time out.
- Heavyweight Joe Doyle leads Binghamton in dual wins this season (seven) and pins (four).
