Women’s tennis defeats Bucknell 6-1

Four Bearcats win both doubles and singles en route to victory

LEWISBURG, PA. - The Binghamton University women's tennis won its second straight match following a 6-1 victory over Bucknell Sunday morning. The Bearcats were able to get the doubles point and won five of six singles matches.

 

In doubles, Jamie Lau and Kyra Berman solidified an easy 6-0 win while Reginia Furer and Ashley Granieri grinded to a 7-5 win to get the all-important first point.

 

In singles, the Bearcats were able to breeze to a 6-1 win with five wins, including tough three-set wins for Michelle Eisenberg and Granieri.

 

Granieri's win capped off a 4-0 week and Binghamton has won three of its last four matches.

 

Up next, the Bearcats will take on Northern Illinois and Wright State in Buffalo Friday.
