VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton volleyball team sits at 2-2 in the conference and takes on UMBC and Stony Brook this weekend to continue America East play. The Bearcats will head to Baltimore for a matchup with the Retrievers Friday at 7 p.m. before making the trip to Long Island for Sunday's 1 p.m. match.

Binghamton Notes

• The Bearcats enter Friday's matchup with a 2-2 record in the America East, which is good for a tie for third place with Stony Brook.

• Stefana Stan continues to lead BU with 176 kills. She has registered double-digit kills in her last four matches, including a 15-kill, 14 dig effort against Albany.

• Kiara Adams has set two career highs this season, first with a 48-assist output against NJIT, capped off with a 24-dig effort last weekend against Hartford.

• Binghamton is attempting to stop a short two-match losing streak, and is looking for the 19th win in program history over the Retrievers. UMBC currently holds the 20-18 series advantage.

UMBC off to a hot start

• The Retrievers have dominated America East play thus far, dropping just two sets in five matches.

• Sitting at 5-0 and in first place in the conference, UMBC has been led by several players. Freshman Mia Bilusic leads the team with 229 kills, and hasn't had a single-digit output since her nine kills against  Maryland on September 11.

• Graduate student Lauren Teter has 319 digs on the year, good enough for tops in the conference.

• UMBC has swept its last three opponents, including a 3-0 win Sunday against New Hampshire.

A look at Stony Brook

• Stony Brook has won two of three matches after falling 3-1 in its AE opener against UMBC.

• Included in those two victories was a 3-0 win over Binghamton, where four players registered eight or more kills.

• Leoni Kunz has an even 200 kills for the SeaWolves, and is coming off a 16 kill, 12 dig effort against UNH last weekend.

• Stony  Brook has a 24-21 all-time record against Binghamton.
