ALBANY, N.Y. – Alex Bourgeous scored off a free kick in the 50th minute, lifting Albany (10-5-1, 4-2-1 AE) to a 1-0 win over Binghamton (7-8-1, 2-5-0 AE) in an America East men's soccer match on Thursday night at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium.
In an even-matched contest, Bourgeous finished off the Great Danes' free kick from close range. The assists were credited to Pantelis Panteli and Guillermo Mijancos.
Albany finished play with a 10-8 advantage in total shots, including a 4-3 edge in shots on goal. Corner kicks were even at 3-3.
"We played hard tonight and definitely played well enough to win," head coach
Paul Marco said. "We came out and started the match great but we are very disappointed with the result."

P.J. Parker finished with three saves, including a pair of stops in the final five minutes of regulation.
Binghamton closes out its regular season slate with a Monday night home match against Vermont at 7 p.m.
