VESTAL, N.Y - The Binghamton volleyball team will play its final two regular season home matches this weekend, starting with New Hampshire Friday evening and ending with NJIT Sunday afternoon. The Bearcats defeated NJIT (2-20 overall, 0-8 AE) in five sets on September 24, and have yet to play UNH (14-9 overall, 5-3 AE) this season.

Binghamton Notes

• The Bearcats sit at 2-5 in the America East, which is tied for fifth with Hartford.

• Despite losing to UMBC Sunday, the Bearcats won only the fourth set against the Retrievers in conference play.

• In the third set Sunday, BU had six blocks, en route to the 25-21 winning finish. Elis Gadelha had a block assist in all six of those points.

• Annie Bart registered double-digit kills for the Bearcats against the Retrievers, her third effort with 10 or more kills on the season. Anna Sprys and Victoria Erwat contributed seven kills apiece.

• The Bearcats are 16-24 all-time against New Hampshire, and are 2-2 against NJIT.

• BU will hit the road for its final three matches of the regular season following this weekend's action.
   

Scouting New Hampshire

• The Wildcats come into Vestal winners of five straight matches, with notable victories over Stony Brook and Albany.

• Senior Abby Sullivan leads the team in both kills (178) and hitting percentage (.356). Her hitting percentage mark is good for tops in the conference.

• A four-time AE Setter of the Week, Wren Macaulay has 739 assists on the season, including a 57-assist effort against Albany on October 15.

• Sullivan and Kelly Kaufmann each have over 60 blocks on the season (65 and 62 respectively).

• 14 of the team's 20 roster spots are occupied by freshmen and sophomores.

A look at NJIT

• The Highlanders come in looking for their first America East victory, but are coming off a five-set victory over Iona on Tuesday.

• NJIT fell to Binghamton in five sets earlier in the season. In that match, three players registered double-digit kills, with Elley Torres leading the way with 14.

• Adriana Goetz-Morales leads the Highlanders with 157 kills. Courtney Branch is second in the America East with 81 blocks.

• NJIT takes on Albany on Friday evening before arriving in Vestal.
