- Binghamton (4-5) is making its second appearance at the Florida International Tournament in three seasons. In 2019, the Bearcats went 1-1 at the event, losing 80-63 to Austin Peay before bouncing back to record an 88-67 victory over Grambling State.
 
- Junior guard Denai Bowman ranks second in the America East with 14.9 points per game and is tied for second in both assists (3.8 apg.) and steals (2.1 spg.). She is also tied for sixth with 0.9 blocks per game. Junior forward Clare Traeger, meanwhile, ranks second with 7.7 rebounds per game and is tied with Bowman for second in steals (2.1 apg.).
 
- Ohio (4-3) has won four of its past five games entering the tournament. Cierra Hooks is averaging 21.0 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Erica Johnson is netted 20.3 points per contest. 
 
- Ohio has a 2-0 series lead against Binghamton, having won both previous games at home. The Bobcats won 63-55 on Dec. 19, 2016 as well as 86-49 on Nov. 15, 2018.
