Women's Tennis Falls to St. Bonaventure 7-0 in Season Opener

Bearcats travel to Temple on March 27

OLEON, N.Y. - The Binghamton women's tennis team (0-1) fell to St. Bonaventure University (4-5, 0-1) 7-0 in its season opener Saturday afternoon.

"It was great to get back to competing," head coach Libby McGovern said. "There really is no substitute for competition and after a year without a match you could see the nerves on the court. We definitely needed to get the first match under our belt to remind us what it feels like and how sharp the focus has to be. As we got further into matches you could see them getting more comfortable and settled in with their point play and the necessary thought process. I look forward to seeing the ladies progress and regain their confidence in matches over the season."
