VESTAL, NY - Binghamton women's tennis (0-4) was defeated by Colgate University (3-4, 1-3 PAT) 5-2 Sunday afternoon. The Bearcats won two singles points, but the host Raiders came up triumphant after sweeping the doubles matches and earning victories in the final three singles matches.
Senior Michelle Eisenberg was victorious at first singles, taking down Emme Levenson in straight sets. Eisenberg won the first set in a tiebreaker before dominating the second set on her way to the 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 win.
Jamie Lau clinched another point for the Bearcats at fourth singles with a masterful performance. She controlled play for the majority of her commanding 6-3, 6-2 victory over Katerina Atallah. This was Lau's first victory of the season.
Binghamton will travel to Buffalo to face the University at Buffalo on Tuesday evening.
