STORY LINES

- Binghamton (4-6, 0-0 AE) has had its past three games postponed due to COVID-19 protocals. The Bearcats' last game was a 76-67 setback against Ohio on Dec. 21 at the FlU Holiday Hoops Classic. Junior forward Birna Benonysdottir led Binghamton with 18 points while senior guard Hayley Moore added 15 points.

- Benonysdottir leads the America East with 17.3 points per game while junior forward Denai Bowman is third (14.3 ppg.). Bowman also ranks second in assists (4.1 apg.), seventh in blocks (0.8 bpg.) and is tied with junior forward Clare Traeger for third in steals (1.9 spg.). Traeger also ranks second in rebounding (8.2 rpg.). As a team, Binghamton is second in the conference in scoring (64.7 ppg.), assists (14.10 apg.) and steals (8.70 spg.). 

- NJIT (7-6, 2-0 AE) has already defeated the top two conference teams from last season, beating Stony Brook 54-49 on Dec. 30 and Maine 67-59 in overtime on Sunday. Kenna Squier posted a game-high 24 points in the victory over the Black Bears. 

- Squier ranks No. 10 in the America East in scoring (12.0 ppg.) and is tied for No. 10 in steals (1.5 spg.). As a team, NJIT leads the conference with 3.85 blocks per game. 

- Binghamton leads the all-time series against NJIT 4-1, having taken the past four meetings. Most recently, the Bearcats won 75-40 at the Events Center on Dec. 30, 2019. This marks the first meeting between the schools since NJIT joined the America East Conference in the summer of 2020.
