Women's tennis drops match at St. Bonaventure

Host Bonnies prevail 7-0; BU next heads to Colgate for Saturday morning match

OLEAN, N.Y. - Host St. Bonaventure took the doubles point before winning all six singles matches to defeat visiting Binghamton women's tennis 7-0 Friday afternoon at the SBU Fitness Center. 

The top doubles tandem of freshmen Maria Pereira and Caterina Casadei earned a win at No. 1 doubles, outlasting their Bonnies opponents in a tiebreaker, 7-5. 

Later in singles, Pereira pressed her SBU opponent to three sets in a tight loss at the No. 2 spot. 

Binghamton next heads to Hamilton for a Saturday morning tilt against Colgate.
