BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – No. 66 Western Michigan posted a 7-0 win over Binghamton men's tennis Saturday night at the Binghamton Tennis Center.
The reigning MAC champions narrowly captured the doubles point but then flexed their muscle in the six singles wins.Â
"The score is disappointing but we took some steps forward today in who we want to be as a team," head coach
Nick Zieziula said. "We threw a lot at Western in the doubles and we got to match point 6-4 at 3rd doubles before the clinch and we battled back from a bad break down at 2 to push it to 5-5. We can definitely build off of the way we competed for the first 2 hours of today and grow from this."Â
The Bearcats next travel to Muncie, Ind. to face Ball State on March 25.
