BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Visiting Colgate took a hotly-contested doubles point and then swept the six singles matches to defeat Binghamton women's tennis 7-0 Sunday afternoon at the Lane-Starke Tennis Center.
The No. 2 doubles team of senior 
Lara Kaplan and sophomore 
Caterina Casadei posted a 6-3 win for the Bearcats - their second dual win of the season. 
Sophomore No. 1 
Natalia Aruj and senior No. 2 
Lara Kaplan each battled her opponent in a tight match in singles, with Aruj coming up just short in a third-set super tiebreak, 6-7 (5), 6-2, 10-8. 
The Bearcats next begin a busy three-match weekend on Friday with a dual at Buffalo. Binghamton then hosts Siena on Saturday at the LSTC before heading to New York City for a Sunday tilt at Columbia.
