NORFOLK, Va. – Binghamton (3-5) swept a doubleheader from host Norfolk State (1-8), winning 6-3 and 7-0  Saturday afternoon at Marty L. Miller Field.
In the opener, sophomore second baseman 
Nick Roselli delivered a two-out, two-run single in the top of the ninth to snap a 3-3 tie and senior closer 
Jack Collins struck out two in the bottom of the inning to save it.
The Bearcats jumped ahead with two runs in the second inning. Norfolk countered with single runs in the third and fifth innings to tie it 2-2. The teams then traded runs in the seventh (BU) and eighth (Norfolk) before Binghamton made its final surge in the ninth.
In that deciding frame, junior left fielder 
Tommy Reifler led off with a single and was sacrificed to second by junior shortstop 
Isaiah Corry. After a fly out, sophomore center fielder 
Logan Haskell and junior right fielder 
Mike Gunning drew back-to-back singles to load the bases. Roselli then sent a base hit to right center, scoring Reifler and Haskell. Gunning then scored on an ensuing infield error, providing the final margin.
Corry went 2-for-3 with two RBI and sophomore third baseman 
Devan Bade added two hits.
Junior reliever 
Kyle Eskildsen got the win after pitching two scoreless innings in relief of senior starter 
Thomas Babalis (6 IP, 2 runs).  
In the seven-inning nightcap, BU struck for five runs in the third inning and junior 
Gabe Driscoll pitched 5.2 scoreless innings. Driscoll struck out six and scattered six hits.
Junior catcher 
Kevin Reilly went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Reifler and Gunning each had two hits and an RBI.
Already ahead 1-0, BU plated five runs on four hits in the third inning to open up a cushion. Reilly, junior DH 
Andrew Tan and Reifler each had RBI hits and two more runs scored on an outfield error.
The teams will finish up the weekend series with a single game at noon Sunday. Senior 
Ryan Bryggman makes his third start of the spring.
