Cavan Tully went 2-for-5 and had a game-high four RBI in Binghamton's offensive outburst against Hartford on Friday afternoonĀ at Bearcats Baseball Complex. Binghamton had The Bearcats have now won 11 of their last 14 games.
After Hartford grabbed an early 1-0 lead after one inning of play, Binghamton responded in the bottom of the second inning with three consecutiveĀ two-out hits to take a 3-1 lead.Ā Perez singled to left center on a 3-2 pitch to bring home
Nick Roselli to tie the game at 1-1.
Isaiah CorryĀ had the first of his two hits on the dayĀ with a double to left center. With runners on second and third, Tully laced a 0-1 pitch up the middle for a single, allowing Perez and Corry to score.Ā
Binghamton added another run in the bottom of the third inning to take a 4-1 lead.Ā

The Bearcats pulled away from the Hawks with a three-run sixth inning. Bade hit a one-out double off the top of the wall in right center, missing a home run by a few inches. He quickly advanced to third on a passed ball and scored soon after on an RBI groundout to second base by Roselli to make it a 5-3 game. Reilly came up to the plate with two outs and ripped a line drive into right center.Ā The line drive shotĀ had enough wind behind it, whichĀ allowedĀ the ball to carry over the wall for his first home run of the season. Christian Perez smoked a single into right field, stole second base, and came around to score on a Corry single to left field, extending the lead to 7-3.
Binghamton also pushed across three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to seal the victory. Bade reached on an error to get things started. Reilly hit a one-out single to right field, Perez came up next and hit another sharply hit ball into right field, allowing Bade to score. With two outs,Ā
Cavan Tully came to the plate and hit a two-out double down the right field line to score Reilly and Perez.
On the hill, the senior left hander Babalis battled his way through five innings to pick up his third win of the season, allowing fiveĀ hits, three earned runs, four walks, and talliedĀ 7 strikeouts. Junior right hander
John Lumpinski came in relief in the top of the sixth inning and hurdled four magnificant innings. Lumpinski scattered just three hits, while striking out a season-high eight hitters without issuing a free pass. Lumpinski earned his second save of the inning.Ā
