STORY LINES
- Binghamton is making it 10
th appearance at the America East Tournament. The Bearcats won the 2015 title and have placed third five other times (2011, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017). Last season, Binghamton hosted the tournament, was the No. 4 seed and went 2-2 to place fourth overall.
- With a 29-16 record, Binghamton is already tied for the fourth-highest win total in program history. In addition, the Bearcats' 13-7 record in the America East represents their second-highest win total since it joined the conference in 2002.
- The Bearcats are the No. 2 seed in the America East Tournament and have a first-round bye for the first time since 2017. Their second-round opponent will be either No. 6 Maine or No. 3 UAlbany on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Binghamton went a perfect 5-0 against the Black Bears this year but the Great Danes took the season series 4-2.
- Top-seeded and host UMBC is the defending champion and has won the past three America East Tournament titles. The Great Danes were the champions in 2017 and 2018 while the Black Bears last won the event in 2016.
- Against the rest of the field in the America East Tournament, Binghamton was swept in three games at UMBC (April 1-2) but swept three games against No. 4 UMass Lowell (April 21-22) and No. 5 Bryant (April 15-16). Neither UMass Lowell nor Bryant has ever won an America East Tournament title. The River Hawks joined the conference in 2014 and Bryant is in its first year with the America East.

- The Great Danes are led by outfielder Morgan Petty, who was named the America East Player of the Year. She was second in batting (.418) and first with a .672 slugging percentage. Maine's top player is outfielder Grace McGouldrick, who was named first-team all-conference and leads the America East with 33 stolen bases.
- Courtney Coppersmith of UMBC was named the America East Pitcher of the Year for the fourth straight season. Catcher Morgan Fisher, who was named first-team all-conference, led UMass Lowell with a .333 batting average and was second in the America East with 37 RBI. Third baseman Alex Hudson led Bryant with a .327 batting average and was named second-team all-conference.
- As a team, Binghamton ranks first in the America East with a .303 batting average as well as a .968 fielding percentage. The Bearcats also rank second with a 2.92 ERA.
- Walter currently leads the America East and ranks No. 24 in the nation with a .423 batting average. She is also first with a .484 on-base percentage. Santos leads the America East with 39 RBI while Richmond is tied for eighth with five home runs.
- Santos and Harbaugh are also ranked among the top hitters in the America East. Santos is third with a .362 batting average while Harbaugh is fifth (.340). Harbaugh is also second in the conference with 20 stolen bases.
- Roberts, who was named the America East Rookie of the Year, is 11-2 with a 2.53 ERA. Her victory total is fourth in the conference while her ERA is third. In addition, her 100 strikeouts rank fifth in the America East. Pappas, meanwhile, ranks fourth with 103 strikeouts and her ERA of 2.84 ranks fifth.
- Pappas and redshirt senior outfielder
Chloe Morgan were both named to the America East All-Tournament Team last year. Morgan hit a team-best .462 during the tournament (6-for-13) while Pappas was 2-0 with a 0.75 ERA.

Binghamton has hit three walk-off home runs at the America East Tournament. Most recently, current senior infielder Alex Musial clubbed a two-run homer in the eighth inning of the Bearcats' 9-7 victory over Hartford in an elimination game last year.

Graduate student second baseman Alli Richmond is just the 10th player in Binghamton program history to be named first-team all-conference in the America East twice during her career. She is also just the seventh player in program history to be named to the America East All-Academic Team twice during her career.
