Volleyball set to host Le Moyne Tuesday

Bearcats looking to rebound from winless weekend at Buffalo

VESTAL, N.Y.  - The Binghamton University volleyball team (3-3) is scheduled to host LeMoyne College for a midweek non-conference match-up this Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. in West Gym. 

The Bearcats are looking to rebound from a winless weekend at the University at Buffalo Invitation where the team dropped three matches to the University of Montana, DePaul University and hosts UB. 

First-year middle blocker Misa Dlouha highlighted the weekend action for BU, earning an All-Tournament distinction with 21 kills, 14 blocks and three service aces. Additionally, she recorded a .299 hitting percentage across three matches. 

Tsvetelina Ilieva also had an impressive Buffalo Invite performance with 41 kills, 35 digs, four service aces and three blocks. With double-doubles in the back-to-back matches against Montana and DePaul, the senior averaged a .227 clip overall in the three weekend contests. 

The Bearcats are back on the road at the Lehigh Steel Classic in Bethlehem, Pa. this weekend for another three-game slate. The team will play Fairleigh Dickinson University at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8, before taking on hosts Leigh University the next day, Saturday, Sept. 9, at noon and Delaware State University later the same day at 4:30 p.m.
