Volleyball Heads to New Hampshire Sunday

Bearcats look to pick up third America East victory over Wildcats

DURHAM, N.H. (binghamtonbearcats.com) - Binghamton Volleyball (12-7, 2-1) travels to New Hampshire (11-6, 2-0) Sunday afternoon for an America East matchup inside Lundholm Gymnasium. First serve is slated for 1 p.m. 

The match will be broadcast on ESPN+ and can be followed via live stats here at binghamtonbearcats.com. 

Last time out, the Bearcats dropped a close road match to Temple, 3-2, Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 9. Binghamton out-blocked the Owls, 11-8, the thirteenth time this fall the Bearcats have posted more blocks than their opponents.

Lottie Scully recorded her 2,000th assist with 42 vs. Temple. Scully ranks sixth in Binghamton program history with 2,018 career assists. With 13 digs this afternoon, the performance was her third double-double of the season and third with 40 or more assists. 

Tsvetelina Ilieva recorded 21 kills in the loss to Temple, her sixth match of the year with 20 or more kills. The performance was her second consecutive with 20 or more kills after she put up 21 vs. Bryant Sunday afternoon, Oct. 6. Misa Dlouha nabbed a career-high 16 kills at .444 against the Owls, her second straight contest in double-digits and fourth this year. 

Scully also picked up her second consecutive conference Setter of the Week honor Tuesday morning, the tenth of her career. The junior averaged eight assists per set in two matches for Binghamton last week. Scully registered 41 assists in the win over Bryant, the third most of any America East setter in a four-set match this season. She added 14 digs, three service aces, two kills and one block across two contests. Scully ranks second in the America East with 7.7 assists per set. 

As a team, Binghamton leads the America East with .257 attack percentage. The Bearcats also rank second in the league with 16.92 points per set, 12.83 kills per set, 11.83 assists per set, 2.36 blocks per set and 1.73 service aces per set. 

Ilieva leads the America East with 4.58 kills per set and 5.27 points per set. She ranks second nationally with 374.5 total points and 325 total kills. Misa Dlouha sits second in the conference with 1.27 blocks per set to rank fifth in the country with 90 total blocks. 

UNH leads the series against Binghamton 28–20 since 1997. The Bearcats won the last matchup, 3-2, coming back from two sets down to claim the victory in the 2023 America East Championship Semifinals, Nov. 17, 2023. 

Next up, the Bearcats compete at Colgate, Wednesday, Oct.16. Match time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
