VESTAL, N.Y. – With a week to go before the official start of the 2024-25 season, the Binghamton wrestling team held its latest edition of wrestle-offs Saturday at the Events Center.
The intrasquad dual gave 20 members of the team a chance to compete against each other. Split up into two teams, the Green Team ultimately defeated the Black Team 20-16. Both groups traded victories throughout the first eight matches, before the Green Team picked up back-to-back decisions to secure the win.

Brevin Cassella picked up right where he left off from the prior season, defeating
Deakon Bailey in a 17-2 technical fall at 174 lbs.

John Baker in the first period of their match at 184 lbs.

Jack Kazalas in a 13-3 major decision at 133 lbs.
• With the Green Team leading the Black Team 17-16 heading into the final match,
Charlie Tibbitts got a last-minute takedown to defeat
Trent Sibble 4-2 in a battle of the heavyweights. The decision helped the Green Team secure the win.
