Women’s Basketball Travels to LIU

Bearcats and Sharks Tip Off Friday at 6 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (2-3) put up a valiant effort before being edged 61-56 by ACC member Pittsburgh on Sunday at the Events Center. Sophomore guard Kaylee Krysztof tied her career high with 15 points while Jadyn Weltz turned in a 13-point, seven-assist, five-steal performance. Sophomore guard Leah Middleton, meanwhile, added 11 points.

- Weltz leads the Bearcats and ranks sixth in the America East with 13.4 points per game. She is also second in the conference with 2.6 steals per contest. Middleton ranks second on the Bearcats with 11.2 points per game. Sophomore guard Bella Pucci is No. 10 in the America East in rebounding (5.2 rpg.).

- As a team, Binghamton ranks second in the America East in scoring with 62.6 points per game. The Bearcats are also tops in the conference with 10.0 steals per game, second with a .750 free throw percentage and third with a .324 three-point field goal percentage.

- LIU (1-5) lost 96-31 at Michigan on Tuesday night. Estie Varga and Brianna Mead each finished with eight points.

- Jenessa Williams leads the Sharks with 11.5 points per game while Varga is dishing out a team-best 2.7 assists per game. 

- Binghamton and LIU square off for the first time in women's basketball.
