Bearcats and Bonnies tip off Saturday at 1 p.m.

STORY LINES

- (2-0) defeated Akron 66-50 on Thursday night at the Events Center. Redshirt junior guard Jadyn Weltz poured in a game-high 18 points while sophomore guard Bella Pucci grabbed a career-best 13 rebounds. Sophomore guard Yanniah Boyd added 14 points while junior guard Kaia Goode finished with 10 points.

- Weltz leads the Bearcats with 17.5 points per game while Boyd is averaging 11.0 points and junior guard Kaia Goode is netting 10.0 points per contest. Pucci is averaging a team-best 7.5 rebounds per game while sophomore guard Leah Middleton is pulling down 7.0 rebounds per contest.

- St Bonaventure (0-0) defeated Daemen 71-57 in an exhibition game last Friday evening. Dani Haskell paced the Bonnies with a game-high 20 points while Payton Fields added 19 points.

- St Bonaventure leads the all-time series 11-2. Last season, however, the Bearcats won 73-65 on Nov. 18, 2023. Weltz had 10 points in that victory.
