VESTAL, N.Y. – Freshman center Abby Misier has been named the America East Rookie of the Week. It marks the first time in her career that she has earned the conference's weekly accolade.

Playing in a reserve role, Misier averaged 6.0 points in a pair of Binghamton victories this past week. After chipping in four points during last Monday's 68-58 win at Canisius, she had eight points off the bench in the Bearcats' 62-46 win over a Loyola (Md.) team that was picked to finish first in the Patriot League.

Binghamton (5-3) has won three straight games and heads to Buffalo on Wednesday for a 6 p.m. contest.
