STORY LINES

- Binghamton (4-1) is off to its best start since going 4-0-1 to start the 2004 season. Sophomore pinch hitter Emma Lawson is the current America East Player of the Week while senior Allison L'Amoreaux is the conference's Pitcher of the Week.

- USC Upstate (2-2) split four games last weekend at its home invitational. Sierra Maness is the current Big South Conference Pitcher of the Week.

- This marks the first-ever meeting between Binghamton and USC Upstate in softball.

- Winthrop (3-3) split a doubleheader at UNC Greensboro on Wednesday, losing the first game 6-1 before bouncing back with a 5-4 triumph in the nightcap.

- Winthrop leads the all-time series against the Bearcats 2-1. All three games were played during the 2019 season.

- Monmouth (1-4) opened its season with five games at the New Mexico State Invitational last weekend. The Hawks defeated Western Michigan 8-6 in their final game of the tournament.

In the only previous meeting between the two schools in softball, Binghamton defeated Monmouth 8-6 on March 19, 2022 at the Maryland Invitational.

- Appalachian State (0-3) opened its 2024 season at the Elon Invitational last weekend. Sindey Martin led the Mountaineers with a .571 batting average.

- Binghamton and Appalachian State have yet to square off in softball.

- LeMoyne (0-0) begins its first year as a NCAA Division I program. The Dolphins finished 23-23 in 2023 in their final season at the Division II level.

- The Bearcats and Dolphins square off in softball for the first time since 2000, when Binghamton competed at the NCAA Division II level. The Bearcats won all six meetings between 1997-2000.
