Women’s Tennis Outlasted by Rider, 6-1

Bearcats find doubles success despite loss

Box Score BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (BUBearcats.com) - The Binghamton women's tennis team fell 6-1 to Rider inside the Lane-Starke Tennis Center Saturday afternoon. 

Despite the loss, the Bearcats started off the match with three straight wins to claim the doubles decision in their second straight match. 

Britney Korir and Nitya Vyas registered their second consecutive win as a doubles team with a 6-2 triumph over the Broncs in the third slot. 

The doubles pairings of Caterina Casadei and Maria Pereira recorded a 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles next. 

Abby Ackroyd and Loren Cuomo matched their teammates with another 6-4 victory at second doubles to finish out the afternoon's wins for BU. 

Next up, Binghamton hosts Lehigh tomorrow, Sunday, Feb. 18 inside the Lane-Starke Tennis Center. Start time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
