Softball Hosts LeMoyne in Home Opener on Tuesday

Bearcats and Dolphins to square off in 4 p.m. doubleheader

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (15-10) lost two out of three games at Bryant in its opening America East series this past weekend. After getting blanked 4-0 in the first game on Friday, the Bearcats won the nightcap 5-2. The Bulldogs, however, took the finale 8-4 on Sunday.  

- Sophomore pitcher/designated player Brianna Roberts finished the series against Bryant with a team-best four RBI while Carvalho went 3-for-8 over the three games (.375). Redshirt junior Brianna Santos, meanwhile, hit a team-best .400 during the weekend (4-for-10). On the mound, Roberts finished the weekend 1-0 with a 1.56 ERA in 9.0 innings pitched.

- Santos leads the Bearcats and ranks eighth in the America East with a .373 batting average. She is also first in the conference with 10 doubles and third with nine stolen bases. Carvalho is tops in the America East with six home runs while senior first baseman Allison L'Amoreaux is sixth with six RBI.

- On the mound, Roberts is seventh in the America East with a 3.07 ERA. She is also first with three saves, is tied for third with L'Amoreaux in strikeouts (64) and is tied for third with five victories. L'Amoreaux is tied for first with six wins while sophomore Olivia Kennedy is tied for second with a pair of saves.

- Le Moyne (8-16) took two out of three games from Merrimack this past weekend. The Dolphins won the first two games 8-6 (nine innings) and 5-3 before dropping the finale 6-2.

- Alyssa Dybacz leads Le Moyne with a .382 batting average, is tied for first with four home runs and has a team-high 18 RBI. She is one of five Dolphin players to have driven in at least 10 runs so far this season.

- Binghamton leads the all-time series 7-0 against Le Moyne. Earlier this season – in the two programs' first meeting at the NCAA Division I level – the Bearcats defeated the Dolphins 11-2 back on Feb. 18 at the Winthrop Eagle Classic. L'Amoreaux and freshman catcher Elisa Allen each drove in three runs in the victory.
