BURLINGTON, Vt. (BUBearcats.com) - The Binghamton women's lacrosse team (6-6, 2-1) picked up its second America East win of the season over Vermont, 10-9, at Virtue Field Saturday afternoon.

Emma Conroy matched her season-high with two goals while Carla Curth and Madison Murphy also netted scores for Binghamton. Emma Blloshmi, Kristen Scheidel and Jess Robinson added assists to the Bearcat stat sheet as well.

Weltner found the back of the net for BU early in the second quarter to tie up the game at one before UVM registered three consecutive goals to jump ahead 4-1 with 2:42 left in the half.

The Bearcats didn't back down, as Muscolino and Curth registered two goals within a minute of each other to cut the Catamount advantage to one at 4-3 going into halftime.

Binghamton came out of the break hot, earning the draw control win and tying the game at four with Weltner's second goal of the afternoon off an assist from Robinson.

UVM and BU traded goals for the remainder of the third frame with Vermont coming out on top 7-6 at the conclusion of the quarter. Bearcat scores in the stanza came from Muscolino and Conroy.

The Catamounts grabbed another goal early in the fourth quarter before Conroy found the net again for Binghamton, lowering the home team's lead to one. UVM struck for the last time in the final frame with 9:12 to lead 9-7.

With their backs against the wall, the Bearcats put up three unanswered goals from Muscolino, Murphy and Weltner late in the fourth quarter to lead 10-9 with 3:51 left in regulation.
