VESTAL, N.Y. – Bailey Misken pitched a complete-game victory in the first game and recorded a three-out save in the nightcap, pacing Colgate (21-25) to a 3-1, 12-10 sweep over Binghamton (28-14) in a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday evening at the Bearcats Sports Complex. The games marked the Bearcats' final non-conference contests of the season.
Misken scattered one run on four hits and struck out eight batters in the opener, improving her record to 11-12. In the second game, she protected a two-run lead by retiring the side in the bottom of the seventh inning to record her third save of the season.
The Bearcats got three RBI each from sophomore designated player 
Emma Lawson, freshman pinch hitter 
Sami Levine and senior catcher 
Hailey Ehlers – all of which came in the second game. Lawson hit a team-best .600 during the doubleheader (3-for-5) with a home run while Ehlers was 2-for-4 (.500) with a pair of doubles. Levine, meanwhile, smacked a three-run home run and reached base both times she came up to bat.
In the opener, Misken got all of the run support she'd need in the top of the first inning. Rachel Carney led off the game with a triple and scored one batter later on an RBI ground out. Later in the frame, Quinn Livesay padded the lead to 2-0 with an RBI single.
In the top of the second inning, Carney scored the Raiders' third run of the game on a single by Kiley Shelton.
The Bearcats' only response came in the bottom of second inning. Senior first baseman 
Alex Musial reached base on a double and later scored on a single by redshirt junior shortstop 
Gabby Guerrero.
Senior pitcher 
Allison L'Amoreaux went the distance in the first game and held Colgate scoreless over the final five innings. Her record, however, dropped to 10-4.
Guerrero finished 2-for-3 in the opener.
The second game featured a stirring comeback by the Bearcats who were down 9-1 in the middle of the third inning but came all the way back to tie the game at 10-10 in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Levine capped a four-run bottom of the fourth inning with her three-run homer, trimming the deficit to 9-5. Colgate got a run back in the top of the fourth inning but Ehlers' two-run double in the bottom of the same inning brought the Bearcats to within 10-7.
Lawson and Musial then hit back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to deadlock the game at 10-10. Lawson's homer was a two-run shot.
In the top of the seventh inning, however, the Raiders took the lead back on an RBI double by Shelton. She later scored on a sacrifice fly by Adrienne Nardone. From there, Misken was able to finish of the game.
Maya Servedio raised her record to 8-9 while freshman pitcher 
Delaney Glover was tagged with the loss, dropping her record to 2-1. The Raiders took advantage of three Bearcat errors in the second game and scored five unearned runs.
Lawson went 3-for-4 in the second game while Musial was 2-for-4. For the day, Musial hit .429 (3-for-7) and scored a team-best three times.
Binghamton hosts Bryant in a three-game conference series on Saturday and Sunday.
