VESTAL, N.Y. – Sophomore forward
Anthony Randazzo and graduate student forward
Tom Cohen each netted goals while sophomore midfielder
Marcus Nahim finished with a career-high two assists, lifting Binghamton (6-2-1) to a 2-1 win over Central Connecticut State (0-7-1) in a non-conference men's soccer game on Saturday afternoon at the Bearcats Sports Complex on Family Weekend. The victory is the fourth straight for the Bearcats – who now have their longest winning streak since starting the 2007 campaign with five consecutive victories.
Randazzo, who now has a team-best four goals, scored in the 12
th minute of play. Cohen, meanwhile, scored his second goal of the season which broke a 1-1 tie in the 56

Nahim set up the first goal when he beat a defender on the right side of the field. He then crossed a ball to Randazzo, who shot it into the lower-right corner of the net. Randazzo has now scored in two straight matches.
The Blue Devils, however, got the equalizer in the 38
th minute. Zane Brown scored from close range with the assist going to Arnau Rabassa Giullamon.
In the 56
th minute, Nahim once again beat a defender on the right side of the field. His cross found junior midfielder
Lucas Constante who then got the ball to Cohen. From there, Cohen's shot found the lower-right corner of the net.
The total shots were even at 10-10 but Central Connecticut State held a 6-2 lead in shots on goal. Graduate student goalkeeper
Dylan McDermott, however, made five saves to preserve the victory for the Bearcats.
Binghamton now turns its attention to the start of the conference play. The Bearcats host UMBC next Saturday at 6:07 p.m. on Homecoming Weekend. It will mark a rematch of last year's America East quarterfinal game, which the Bearcats won 1-0.
NOTE: The Family Weekend crowd of 857 fans marked the Bearcats' highest attendance of the season.
